And the Enemy will use the experience to get you to do four things that will hurt you even more, derail you spiritually, and rob you of God\u2019s blessing:  <\/p>\n<p>(1) Isolate yourself, alienate and avoid others. <\/p>\n<p>(2) Lose your sense of trust, and suspect the motives of everyone you meet. <\/p>\n<p>(3) Cause a root of bitterness to spring up that will impact your relationship with your family and those in your circle of influence (see Hebrews 12:15). <\/p>\n<p>(4) Make you strike back and get even, rendering evil for evil (see 1 Thessalonians 5:15). Don\u2019t do it! <\/p>\n<p>Instead, stand on God\u2019s Word: <i>\u2018The Lord is close to the broken-hearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.\u2019<\/i>  (Psalm\u00a034:18\u00a0NLT)<\/p>\n<p><i> \u2018I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing.\u2019<\/i> (Jeremiah\u00a031:13\u00a0NLT) <\/p>\n<p><i>\u2018The Spirit of the Lord\u2026 has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor\u2026 heal the broken-hearted\u2026 proclaim liberty to the captives\u2026 recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.\u2019<\/i> (Luke 4:18 NKJV) <\/p>\n<p><i>\u2018Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behaviour. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.\u2019<\/i>  (Ephesians 4:31\u201332 NLT) <\/p>\n<p> Has someone done you wrong? Forgive them\u2014and <i>keep on<\/i> forgiving them until you\u2019re free in your mind. It\u2019s a daily walk that sometimes feels like three steps forward and two back.
